I am in awe at the quality of your work. This is impressive.
I find the heron especially great and believe it's because you added shadows in the feathers - it seems to add an additional dimension to an all black and white one.
I am broke, cannot order anything but hope your work will fill up your fridge!
Hello - I had a plotter once, and did more or less the same creations; what I used to do is pick a picture I wanted to apply on a canvas, and used photoshop or alike to transform it into simple black and white zones - toying with the available filters allows to find something suitable for the plotter.
Even with photographies, it provided stencils ready for use and the results were really good. I suppose you could reach good results without AI if you wanted to. A real photography of a heron which basically features high shadows and light would probably produce a result, in the end; very very natural because the origin is natural (I suppose).
How do you apply the paint? Is it with some bucket of paint with a roller, or spray paint?
Sorry that it does not fill the fridge - mine is a pity, seven years now
It wouldn't be that hard to preserve basic light areas - could be in three steps, three stencils - Black, gray and white. Then plotting the text and voila a pure knowledge canvas
I actually tried with photos first, and didn’t get very good detail. I am honestly kind of meh on the whole AI, as I have a love/hate relationship with tech, but the results are satisfying, so…
Mr. Raven, Is this style of paper cut art done a manner like say cut linoleum prints are made? I did a little bit of cut linoleum print making and then glass etching that employed sand-blasting. I really enjoyed creating designs utilizing a razor and adhesive paper. It required a kind of exactness that I found meditative almost. Is your style of cut paper creation similar? These are beautiful.
This post is pinned BTW so you can always find it you look go to my profile, and it will be updated and always show what I have in stock, and what can ordered.
I’ve bought 2 paper cuts from Raven and the 2nd was a special request. He created the prototype, with a little back & forth, the final design was perfect.
Ah, yes.

In the interest of full disclosure I use AI to generate the images, but it does take some hand editing to get the images ready to cut.
While I have sold a fair number, my fridge is kind of lean as I suspect it is for many people at least in the U.S. these days.

How do you see the following pic in term of exploitation for plotter use? : https://substack.com/profile/208873777-palestine/note/c-79070901

It isn't paint, it's a paper cut. I cut the paper with a laser.
oh! And then you drop a black sheet under?

I understand; those AI pics are just perfect for what you do. Good luck, the results are really great.

You woke my inner artist!
Incredible work!
I love them all, but the way the robot sits his horse, its really beautiful!
Thanks, it can be yours. :-)
I'm trying to decide which one.
Are they varying in size?
They are all 8 × 10 inches inner dimensions, 11 × 14 out dimensions, mated and ready to be framed if you want to.

The designs are inspired by engraving and linoleum prints though.
Well, uh, errrrr, ummm, no. :-)
I start with an AI generated graphic which needs considerable editing to get ready, and then I cut it with a laser cutter.
The editing is precise work and I agree it’s kind of meditative.
Thanks for the compliment.
Hey this is really good! Good luck!
I really like the alien cruising work. :) freight to NZ is prohibitive atm , so can't buy.
Well thanks for the appreciation. Let me know if you are ever in the states, lol.
Beautiful art work Sir. I blew my wad already this month but when June money becomes available I would like to order one. Still undecided.
