If AI lives up to all the hype about the amazing things it will soon be able to do than its potential for evil will not only be a threat to humanity it will be a confirmation that it is definitely NOT man made.
Meh LLMs are not really amazing at all, it often hallucinates as it has no sense of an I that can make it understand why being wrong is bad like an actual human being. The hallucinations can be interesting to me as an artist, but make it pretty useless as a practical tool.

Good question about what it is? LLMs are not an "artificial intelligence" which requires a self aware "I" with initiative to do things. A dog is more intelligent than an LLM because it has a self, and an agenda. LLMs just string words together based on on probabilistic weightings of correlation between the word string the initial query and mathematical associations with other words in it's vast database, without knowing what the words mean.
It never occurred to me that the current state of humanity could possibly direct the future into perpetuity. That's terrifying - we're in horrible shape. But maybe we always have been, I dunno.

I'm fairly certain Musk is an actor playing a role. If you look into his history and the infeasibility of "his" projects (paypal, Tesla, hyperloop, colonizing Mars, electric semis, self-driving cars) it's all very sketchy. He has a few other major projects in the works where he's the lead engineer and CEO, and he still has loads of time to send out stupid 14 yo grade tweets. And how did this guy who commandeered an EV company who had no track record in aerospace land billion dollar contracts with NASA? That just doesn't add up, at all.
He also has obviously staged audiences for his product and rocket launches - the "engineers", a very diverse crowd all in their 20s or 30s howling like mad because another metal tube got blasted into the stratosphere. Yawn. Some of the people are actually brought to tears by these 'historic' launches. It all reeks of Hollyweird to me.
Tucker and Alex would be controlled opposition IMO. Maybe I'm too cynical, but anyone who gets more than 15 minutes on the big stage I'd say is part of the show, otherwise they wouldn't be there... the entire corporate media is a psyop as per Bernays.

I do have a bias because I am perma-banned there for naming the Jew, so I lean towards seeing him as a globalist transhumanist controlled opposition.
